Carla McGill is a poet, writer, and teacher. She earned her B.A. in English from California State University, San Bernardino, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside. She has work published in A Clean Well-Lighted Place, Crack the Spine, Westerners Journal, Shark Reef, and Inland Empire Magazine, Caveat Lector, Common Ground Review, Westview, Caveat-Lector, Vending Machine Press, Cloudbank, Burningword, The Penman Review, The Atlanta Review, Schuylkill Valley Journal, with work forthcoming in The Alembic and Broad River Review. As a member of the Poetry Society at The Huntington Library in San Marino, CA from 1991–2012 her poems have appeared in three of the group’s chapbooks: Garden Lyrics, Huntington Lyrics, and California Lyrics. She writes poetry and fiction and lives with her husband in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.
